DTCC Has Acquired Securrency, a Provider of Digital Asset Infrastructure

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Securrency Inc. in a milestone step. This strategic buyout should speed the realization of DTCC's digital ambitions and establish its role as a global leader in the evolution of post-trade financial services.
Securrency and DTCC Merger
Securrency, soon known as DTCC Digital Assets, will be fully integrated under DTCC. This merger will bring Securrency's robust technology innovations along with DTCC's extensive financial network, aiming to optimize and enhance the efficiency of digital asset transactions in global markets.

Nadine Chakar, CEO of Securrency, will assume a key position as Managing Director and Global Head of DTCC Digital Assets. Under the leadership of Lynn Bishop, DTCC CIO, Chakar will also serve on the DTCC Management Committee, ensuring a smooth merger of technology and operational excellence. Along with Chakar, Securrency CTO Dan Doney and COO John Hensel will move to DTCC, along with other key executives and approximately 100 employees who will bring new expertise to the corporation.
